Nowadays and The Sanctuary Arts Centre Present Fiver and The Fiver Trois – Cleaning House Record Release with special guests Koromanti and the North Star 7pm doors | 8pm showtime $20 advance | $25 at the door Fiver returns with Cleaning House, their first full length record since 2021’s Fiver with the Atlantic School of Spontaneous Composition . The musical collection sprawls over verse written between 2012 to 2025 and is best filed under Country Prog. Singer and songwriter Simone Schmidt compels a repeat and conscious listen, offering up folk songs, shrines to friends, evergreen cultural commentary, by way of a lyricism that is equal parts enthralled and appalled. Their current collaborators Jeremy Costello (bass, synths, voice), Nathan Doucet (drums, percussion, voice), and Dani Crowther (pedal steel, guitar) comprise The Fiver Trois. Together they arrange the songs with skilled sensitivity and palpable affection, at times walking off the edge into protracted improvisation. Cleaning House was produced by Schmidt, engineered and mixed by Gavin Gardiner, and comes out on You’ve Changed Records on July 10, 2026.
